SUPERLEAGUE FORMULA NATIONS CUP ANNOUNCE FRÉDÉRIC VERVISCH IS THE LATEST DRIVER TO JOIN FOR 2011

Superleague Formula today confirmed that Frédéric Vervisch will return to the 2011 championship, after re-signing with the Welsh based team Atech Reid GP. The 24 year old Belgian represented Liverpool FC in the second half of the 2010 series and has today confirmed his return to race in the global eight round Superleague Formula Nations Cup.

Vervisch will showcase the Luxembourg national colours during 2011 after an impressive first stint in Superleague Formula in 2010. Frédéric will be a strong championship contender.

Winning an impressive €160,000 during the 2010 Superleague Formula season, Vervisch secured 3 race podiums together with one Super Final win and is positive that he can make an impact on the 2011 Nations Cup series.

‘I am really happy to have secured a deal to race with Atech Reid GP to race in the Superleague Formula Nations Cup for the full series this year. Even though I only raced in selected rounds at the end of the 2010 season, we still managed to finish in the top 10 in the championship, take 3 race podiums and a Super Final win. This year I will have the chance to race from round one and I am sure there will be more podiums to celebrate!’

Team Principals Anthony Reid & David Hayle commented on the signing this afternoon.

‘We are anticipating a positive start to the 2011 Superleague Formula Nations cup season and are really excited to have re-signed Frédéric. He is a real talent and we enjoyed working with him last year’, Anthony Reid stated.

David Hayle added: 'Everyone in the team have been working really hard over the winter months to prepare the cars ready for round one and we are pleased that Frédéric will be with us in Assen'.
